Getting involved at BLC lifts up our church community (with the added little bonus of forming new friendships).

  • Wednesday School formed in 2021 as a way to meet our church parents where they were at. Many were struggling to find time on weekends for worship and education. Now kids of all ages participate in a program of learning and music, with a free meal for the whole family beforehand, and worship while the kids are learning. It’s never too late in the year to join us, so come try it out!

Confirmation students attend our 30-minute Wednesday night worship and then 30-minutes of confirmation class immediately after.

Younger students are escorted by the Wednesday school teachers at the beginning of worship to their classrooms where they do fun activities and projects, followed by gathering in the music room where Tracy Bommersbach plays her guitar and leads the kids in fun Christian songs.

Contact Deb Berndt for more info on Wednesday School, and Pastor Ale for more info on Confirmation. Email or call the church office for their contact info.

  • Our LYO parents brain-storm and organize both mission projects and fun activities for youth. We might help pack food for the Richland Wilkin Food Pantry’s backpack program for kids, or we might go on a day ski trip to Ande’s Tower Hills! We welcome all middle-school through high schoolers to participate. Contact the church office for more info.

  • Our quilters meet the third Tuesday of each month from 9am to 2pm, September - May (no quilting in December). About 100 quilts are sewn and given to missions and local needs each year. Quilters rip clothing and prepare fabric, cut pieces, sew quilt tops, tie and sew around the quilts. A noon meal is served by one of the circles, adding to the fellowship. Many hands are needed for this heart-felt ministry, and the quilting ladies love to take someone new under their wing to teach them. Whether you can sew or not, there are plenty of other tasks that we all do to make these quilts.

  • This circle meets in the evenings on the second Thursday of the month at 8pm for bible study and mission work. Get-together’s are at a circle-member’s home or at church. Contact Geri Young or Jan Michels for more info. Email or call the church office for circle contact info.
